WHO WE ARE

We’re known for our tight harmonies, polished sound, complex arrangements, and infectious sense of fun. Our diverse, constantly growing repertoire includes every genre of music imaginable, from pop hits, to indie ballads, to classic rock, to sexy jazz, to Beyoncé (and even some original music written by our own members!).

In addition to performing a number of informal concerts for the Vassar community, every year the Devils hold a winter final concert and spring final concert. We also released our professional studio album, Words Unsaid, August 2020! We sing, we laugh, we love, and then we sing some more! 

The Vassar Devils started in the fall of 1987 and are now one of eight co-ed a cappella groups at Vassar. The group formed when two members of another campus a cappella group fell in love <3 and, forbidden by their group to be together, split off and formed their own group.

Fun Fact: Did you know that the Vassar Devils were named after the famous campus dessert, the Vassar Devil (consisting of ice cream, fudge, brownies, and marshmallow cream?). The original recipe for the Vassar Devil is long lost, though many interpretations are baked at campus events at Vassar.
